Wells, here's the scoop.
I don't write anything on this journal blog thing, which is cool, because no one reads anyway, and the two that do already know everything that would go here anyway.
Been in a funk, and not a cool James-Brown-King-of-Soul type funk, but a James-Brown-is-on-ampetamines-and-slappi ng-me-telling-me-I'm-worthless-while-mol esting-my-mother-on-national-tv type funk. But starting to get out of it now that I at least have a job. Not the job I wanted, but something to pay bills, anyway. My sister seems to be doing better, too. But we'll see how long that lasts.
Anyway, I am now employed at the Home Despot, and honestly, so far it's not that bad. Tons of benefits, started me off with a high pay, and they generally kiss your ass. They really seem to appreciate and take care of their employees, something that Waldenbooks and a few other places I've worked didn't seem too fond of. But, it's still not something I had planned, and I'm still out there looking (Though, I really doubt I'm going to find something in Florida, outside of doing charicatures of people at amusement parks.)
I'm doing more writing than drawing as of late, but I'm thinking of bringing back my trailer-trash allstars and making something with them. Maybe I'll start posting some stuff I actually like, too.
My tastes are shifting once again. I've always had an appreciation for classics, but hearing all the absolute garbage that's on the radio these days I had to escape. I've dusted off and have been listening to classic R&B (you know, the real one?) soul, funk, blues and ska (ditto). Ray Charles, James Brown, John Lee Hooker, Otis Redding, people with talent.
I'm getting burnt out on a lot of things lately, but I'll save it for another post some time in the year 2036.
later.
